How do I replace the SIM card? – for iPhone

Replace the SIM card in your iPhone:

  1. In order to replace your SIM card in your iPhone device, first ensure the device is powered off.
  2. Use a SIM eject tool (or paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot.
  3. From the right edge of the device, remove the SIM card tray.
  4. Insert the new SIM card into the SIM card tray. (The SIM card should have the logo and the SIM card number facing the top, and the gold contacts should be facing down).
  5. Place the SIM card tray back.
  6. Press the tray in order to lock it back into place.
  7. Switch on your iPhone.
  8. The SIM card will search for the mobile network and log on automatically. See here for network troubleshooting.

Caution:

  • Do not attempt to insert the SIM card while the device is powered on. Doing so may harm the SIM card and/or the device.
  • Do not modify or alter your SIM card.
