Connects exclusively to Israeli cellular networks
Not functional outside Israel

Please keep the SIM frame and packaging.
The packaging contains your PUK and other information that may be required for customer service.

SimToIsrael uses two types of Israeli SIM cards: Pelephone and Cellcom.
Those are the largest cellular providers in Israel.
When ordering a SIM card, our default will be to send you a Pelephone SIM card.

Customer from the USA or Canada:
Your SIM card/s will be provided with a virtual USA or Canada phone number for unlimited USA/Canada outgoing calling.

For USA/Canada customers – Calling to USA/Canada from Israel:

• Dial the phone number using this format: 00 – country code – number
• For example: to call a USA/Canada number dial: 00-1-1234567890

Our Israeli SIM cards come with an Israeli phone number and also a local virtual USA or Canadian phone number.

This USA/Canadian number is for your USA/Canadian friends and family to call you to a local number, just by dialing the 10 digits for that number, and you will receive the calls in Israel free of charge.

For international calls you must dial:

00-country code-number

Example: 00-1-2125551234

Do not use any prefix other than 00 for international calls.

If you use another international calling provider your bundle will be depleted rapidly and you may incur additional charges.

Yes, you can register to all Israeli Apps with the sim and Israeli phone number you received, such as Uber, Walt, Get, Moovit, etc.

All incoming calls are unlimited and with no extra cost.

International SMS text messages are NOT part of the plan.
In order to send international text messages we recommend you to use free Apps like “WhatsApp” or “Viber”.

Replace the SIM card in your iPhone:

1. In order to replace your SIM card in your iPhone device, first ensure the device is powered off.
2. Use a SIM eject tool (or paperclip) to unlock the tray by inserting it into the provided slot.
3. From the right edge of the device, remove the SIM card tray.
4. Insert the new SIM card into the SIM card tray. (The SIM card should have the logo and the SIM card number facing the top, and the gold contacts should be facing down).
5. Place the SIM card tray back.
6. Press the tray in order to lock it back into place.
7. Switch on your iPhone.
8. The SIM card will search for the mobile network and log on automatically. 
   If your iPhone does not recognize the new SIM card, then the iPhone is probably locked.

Caution:

• Do not attempt to insert the SIM card while the device is powered on. Doing so may harm the SIM card and/or the device.
• Do not modify or alter your SIM card.

Our Israeli SIM cards work only in phones that are not locked.
An unlocked phone will work on any cellular network whereas a locked phone will be tied to only one.

If you are not sure if your phone is locked or unlocked, you should consult with us and ask your phone carrier to unlock it for you.

Usually the operators agree to unlock the phone for use with foreign SIM cards when a client requests.

Network troubleshooting
Important: Your phone must be unlocked / SIM-free for use in Israel.

• If your phone has dual-sim slots, use our SIM card in slot # 1.
• The SIM card will search for the mobile network and log on automatically.
• Insert the SIM only after landing in Israel, and while the phone is turned off.
• If you do not have a network, please turn off the phone and take out the SIM card, insert the SIM card back and turn on the phone.

Android users:
If you still don’t have service, make sure that the network mode is on GSM/UMTS:
Settings → Mobile networks → Network mode → GSM / UMTS

 Note:

• Calls to 144 (Directory Inquiries), 1800, 1888 and 1900 numbers are not included in the package.
• We strongly recommend that you use WiFi for data-intensive activities, such as: streaming videos, uploading and downloading pictures, Skype voice calls etc.
• Free WiFi is available in almost every coffee shop and restaurant in Israel.

Usually the SIM card will assign settings automatically.
If there are internet or Access Point Name (APN) problems use the following SIM instructions:

Sending SMS by iPhone iMessage
In the iPhone iMessage App:
Switch OFF the setting for : “Send as SMS/Text Message” and “Send as MMS Message”.
(Carrier charges will apply if this sends as a Text Message)

If this still sends messages as SMS / MMS, then turn the WiFi OFF on your iPhone, then ON – this will activate the settings.

For making local calls simply dial the Israeli phone number.
Example: 0xxxxxxxxx

In order to send SMS to other Israeli phone number, just type the Israeli number without any prefix.
Israeli mobile phone number starts with 05XXXXXXXX

You can send SMS / text messages only to mobile phones.

Sure you can.

After you land in Israel:

1. Insert your Israeli SIM card and switch on your phone.
   The phone will automatically connect to the Cellular network.
2. Once this connects, open WhatsApp.
3. If a message appears saying “Carrier Changed, Mobile network changed. Do you want to register with a new phone number?” – Reply NO.
   keep your original number for WhatsApp settings.

Now you are connected and you have the same contacts and groups even though you are using a different SIM card.

Please note: even if your phone supports eSIM you still have to make sure your phone is unlocked prior to your arrival.

First, select a data package according to number of days in Israel.
Once selected, the system will ask you to choose Physical sim or eSIM.
After purchasing an eSIM, you will receive a QR code 3 days before arrival date.

We recommend installing the eSIM as soon as you get the QR, before you leave to Israel.

Yes, in fact we recommend it!
When you order an eSIM, you select the starting date for the data package, which is the arriving date.
The package won’t be activated until the date you choose.
This makes it easy to plan your trip in advance, and have the eSIM ready to go.
If you select a future activation date, our eSIM will be sent to your email 3 days before arrival date.

eSIM can be installed only on one device at the same time.

If you want to reactivate your eSIM, please contact us and we will instruct you on the process.

If your package is still Active please send us the new departure date and we will extend it for you.
